It will also receive a carbon reduction plan to help reduce future emissions
Specialist finance expert Brightstar Group has been certified as a carbon neutral business by Carbon Neutral Britain.
Set up to help individuals and businesses make an impact on climate change, Carbon Neutral Britain is a non-governmental organisation that tackles the climate change crisis by educating and providing voluntary carbon offsetting.
“We are delighted to once again be leading the way within the specialist distribution sector in achieving this landmark carbon neutral status for the Brightstar Group,” stated William Lloyd-Hayward (pictured), group chief operating officer at the Brightstar Group, in a company news release.
“ESG isn’t just an acronym to us, it is a thread that runs through the culture in our business. This is just the beginning for us as we now focus on how we can continue to make a real and genuine positive impact on our environment.”
Last year, the Brightstar Group, which includes Brightstar Financial and Sirius Property Finance, partnered with Carbon Neutral Britain to calculate carbon emissions across the group. These emissions have now been calculated and offset via the Woodland Fund Portfolio of carbon offsetting projects around the world.
Accurately calculating and offsetting carbon emissions in this way has enabled the Brightstar Group to be certified as carbon neutral business, with the group also set to receive a carbon reduction plan to help it reduce future emissions.

Ben Hall, head of admin at Sirius Property Finance and Group Carbon Neutral lead, added that Brightstar Group took great pride in demonstrating corporate and social responsibility, leading by example to promote positive change.
“As a business that assists our customers with making long-term decisions and commitments, it is only right that we now look to the future and examine the impact of our activities and behaviour on our shared global environment,” Hall stated.
“Achieving carbon neutral certification is the first step of our ongoing commitment to monitor and minimise the impact of our business, and I am proud to be part of this crucial effort.”
