The roles are part of the lender's growth strategy this year
Specialist lender Catalyst has expanded its team with the addition of five new hires as part of its 2024 growth strategy, with new appointments having been made across the lender’s credit, servicing, and new business teams.
The latest additions are Danny Scoltock, Gareth Colston, Andrea Armillotta, Jaimee Coombes, and Jade Miave.
Scoltock, who joins as a senior credit analyst, brings over 12 years of specialist finance experience. He previously worked at Equifinance, West One, and TAB, where he was head of the underwriting team. He expressed enthusiasm about his new role at Catalyst, stating that the company’s strong team and culture were significant factors in his decision to join.
Colston, appointed as a senior internal business development manager, comes from Positive Lending, where he spent a decade handling a variety of lending types, including bridging, commercial, and second charge mortgages. He said he is excited to broaden his experience in the lending industry at Catalyst and is looking forward to supporting intermediaries with upcoming product launches.
Armillotta has joined as a credit analyst, bringing with him experience in both regulated and bridging finance sectors. He highlighted the unique challenges of the bridging finance industry and expressed eagerness to contribute to the team’s collective expertise.
Miave, now a credit administrator at Catalyst, transitioned into the mortgage industry after completing a degree in Modern Languages. She previously worked at Nationwide in their buy-to-let team and is keen to further develop her skills at Catalyst.
Coombes, the new servicing administrator, previously worked in wealth management. She expressed excitement about applying her past experience to her new role and gaining further knowledge in property finance.
Earlier this year, Catalyst created an internal BDM team within its sales division, hiring members who are tasked primarily with providing support to brokers.
Commenting on the latest hires, Anna Bennett, marketing director at Catalyst, said each of their new starters will play an important role in Catalyst’s future growth.
“Danny and Gareth are highly experienced in specialist lending, we have worked alongside them for years and they’ve hit the ground running, bringing great lending and broker insight to the team,” she said.
“Andrea joins us with incredible knowledge of regulation and portfolio clients from his time at Nationwide and The Mortgage Works. Jaimee joins the servicing team, and we can already see her passion for customer service shine through. And Jade, who joins our Credit Team, is doing a great job ensuring loan applications progress smoothly to completion.
