Packager develops its sales and distribution strategy
Specialist distributor Envelop has announced the appointment of Matthew Clarke (pictured) as head of sales.
Clarke, who has worked within the financial services industry for over eight years, joins Envelop’s team from Dynamo, where he held the position of mortgage manager for the past three years. Prior to this, he was a senior mortgage consultant in the same firm, and began his career as a customer representative at Nationwide Building Society.
His new role involves developing a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy, in addition to managing Envelop’s internal and external sales team. He will also be engaging with key partners to support them in maximising opportunities across the specialist mortgage markets.
Envelop, formerly known as First 4 Bridging or F4B, rebranded in September 2022 to reflect the growing level of enquiries involving complex residential transactions, buy-to-let, second charge, commercial term loans, and development finance.
“Business levels over recent months have exceeded our expectations, and sectors such as bridging finance and the second charge arena have led the way in bolstering volumes with some extremely high value cases being completed, and more in the pipeline,” commented Donna Wells, director at Envelop.
“It’s vital that we find new ways to help our intermediary partners to better engage with the specialist markets, and Matthew will prove an integral force in this process from both a strategic and practical perspective.”
Commenting on his appointment, Clarke said he relished the challenge of helping Envelop’s sales team and its intermediary partners to successfully tap into the huge amount of potential on offer across the specialist markets.
“Envelop is a highly progressive company whose history and reputation throughout the industry meant that this represented an unmissable opportunity for me,” he added.
