Sales and marketing director leaves Bluestone

Bluestone Mortgages has announced the departure of sales and marketing director Reece Beddall (pictured), who is leaving to return to Australia.

The company’s strategy director, Ryan Davies, will assume Beddall’s role on an interim basis, in addition to his current responsibilities.

Beddall joined the specialist lender in 2016 as part of the broker support team. Over the years, he progressed through several key roles, including business development manager for the UK South and South East, and team manager for business development.

In October 2018, Beddall was appointed head of business development, a position he held until October 2020. Following this, he became the head of sales and marketing, before being promoted to sales and marketing director, a role he has held since May 2021.

“Reece was a huge asset to the business, and I’d like to personally thank him for his contribution over the last eight years,” said Steve Seal, chief executive of Bluestone Mortgages. “He played a key role in helping us become a significant player in the specialist lending industry.

“While he is stepping away from the business to return home to Australia, he leaves Bluestone Mortgages in an excellent position.”

Commenting on the announcement, Beddall said he had enjoyed his time with Bluestone Mortgages.

“It has been a pleasure to support Bluestone’s growth,” he added. “The time is now right for me to return home to Australia, but I wish Bluestone Mortgages continued success.”

Bluestone Mortgages, part of the Shawbrook Group, specialises in residential mortgage origination, portfolio servicing and cloud-based technology development in the financial services sector. Working with an extensive network of brokers, the specialist lender focuses on supporting customers who do not fit the traditional profile of high street banks.
