Together appoints head of intermediary sales for personal finance

Non-bank property lender Together has promoted Maeve Ward (pictured) to head of intermediary sales for personal finance.

Ward will lead Together’s intermediaries team, supporting broker partners with products such as first and second charge mortgages, regulated bridging loans, and consumer buy-to-let. Her responsibilities include educating intermediaries about Together’s offerings, exploring technology utilisation for customers, and maintaining the lender’s underwriting standards.

“I am delighted to be taking up this position, and continue Together’s intermediary team’s brilliant work,” Ward said. “I will be continuing to work collaboratively with our colleagues and valued broker partners, educating the market on Together’s extensive product portfolio and how we can help achieve the best outcomes for our broker partners and their customers.

“We have already made a series of positive changes, with pricing reductions across the entire range, deployment of ‘consent to follow’ on second charge loans, and the introduction of electronic income verification to name but a few, and there is so much more to come. I am delighted to be leading this team and excited for the future.”

Ward brings 25 years of experience in financial services, having started her career with First National Bank and later moving to GE Money and Link Lending. She spent nearly a decade at Shawbrook Bank before founding her own lender, Focused Lending. She joined Together from Central Trust and Mercantile Trust, where she was director of commercial operations.

“As with all lenders, the last few years haven’t been easy, but Together has not only weathered the storm but thrived and this is a testament to the specialist lending expertise within the team,” said Tanya Elmaz, director of intermediary sales at Together. “They have been able to maintain their common sense approach to lending and continue to find the best outcomes for our customers.

“Maeve has already made a huge impact to our well-established intermediary sales channel, and we are delighted for her to be taking on this role. Her hard-work, passion and knowledge is proving invaluable, and she has already garnered great respect from colleagues and customers alike.

“We look forward to seeing her taking on this challenge and driving Together’s personal finance intermediaries team forward, working alongside our valued partners to help open doors for our customers.”
