The two organisations have created a set of study-based Mind Maps® covering the key information from the FPC, AFPC and MAQ courses. The Maps are linked to an online revision and self-testing system which plans e xactly how much time the student needs to revise for their chosen exam and reminds them by e-mail when they need to take a quick review of the key facts.
It is estimated that people forget 80% of what they read within 24 hours. This system will help students, through a range of learning styles, to remember more information, faster and for longer.
The technology, originally designed and used by undergraduate medical students, is currently used in secondary and tertiary education and across several commercial sectors where continuing competency and exam success is critical.
Euan Mackenzie CEO of 3MRT says,
“The key challenge facing students studying for professional exams is the need to optimise the time spent on study so it has minimum impact on getting their day job done. 3MRT’s accelerated revision techniques help them do this. Many professionals have either forgotten or were never taught formal revision skills. The 3MRT system helps students organise and implement a study plan quickly and easily.”
Claire Siegel, CII Learning Solutions Director comments,
“We believe the online Mind Maps and revision technologies are an innovative and complementary addition to our range of study options. It demonstrates our commitment to continually improving the services we provide to students to help them pass exams first time.”
