The deal applies to offers where clients do not need to instruct a solicitor to act on their own behalf, via a special scheme being run by eConveyancer.
Under the terms of the scheme, intermediaries will be able to offer their clients a free legal service on straightforward remortgage cases using a select panel of solicitors who will act for Accord Mortgages. Brokers can choose a solicitor from the panel, who will be instructed via eConveyancer, and they will then be able to track progress of the case online using the eConveyancer system.
Alan Dring, sales director of eConveyancer, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting this remortgage scheme with Accord Mortgages. Accord is an established user of the eConveyancer system and knows just how easy it is to use. I’m sure this scheme will prove popular with Accords intermediaries and their clients and I have no doubt it will be a great success.”
Cate Hillis, head of product development at Accord Mortgages said: “Accord realise that it is more important than ever to offer attractive remortgage deals, as well as the need to offer intermediaries real choice. This new free legal proposition run by eConveyancer enables us to do this, allowing intermediaries to choose from a panel of solicitiors in each area.
“Here at Accord we are constantly looking to ensure the broker is at the heart of what we do, and are therefore looking to improve our range in conjunction with their feedback. The eConveyancer system has proven to be extremely popular with our brokers and we believe that this new proposition will be a great success.”
