The mortgage servicer’s residential special servicer rating has also been affirmed at RSS2.
Fitch stated that the upgrade of the primary servicer ratings reflected Acenden’s drive to improve its web payment capabilities which resulted in an increased number of payments taken via the website and a 67% reduction in telephone calls to make payments.
Fitch offers numerical service ratings from one to five. A level 1 servicer rating is awarded to “servicers demonstrating the highest standards in overall servicing ability”.
A level 5 servicer rating is awarded to “servicers demonstrating limited or no proficiency in servicing ability”.
A level 2 servicer rating, which Acenden has achieved, is awarded to “servicers demonstrating high performance in overall servicing ability”.
Amany Attia, chief executive officer of Acenden, said: “Following its latest upgrade, Fitch has affirmed Acenden’s position as the highest Fitch rated residential mortgage special servicer providing both primary and special servicing capabilities in the UK.
“I believe that this upgrade is confirmation of Acenden’s experience, strong performance and continued market leading position.”
