ADMA has been established by seven founding mortgage distribution companies: Active Investments Ltd, Fastcom Ltd, Formula Mortgages Ltd, Residential 1 Ltd, Synergy Mortgages Ltd, Tudor Mortgage & Finance Ltd & Zebra Homeloans Ltd.
The Association is in the process of contacting the founders’ key introducers after which workshops will be planned around the country. The full timetable will be finalised by the end of 2003 and ADMA anticipates that the workshops will begin during the second week of January 2004. Karen Monaghan from The Kingsland Consultancy, a training and compliance firm, has been retained to design and structure the workshop programme.
ADMA is currently in negotiation with leading lenders to aid the Association with its workshop timetable and a number have already agreed to allow their premises to be used for ADMA workshops.
Jason Rogerson of Tudor Mortgage & Finance said: “There has been much press comment regarding networks but very little about Direct Authorisation. ADMA members feel that the industry has a need for a truly independent non profit making association to offer assistance to mortgage introducers who are interested in applying for Direct Authorisation.
.
The workshops will deal with key issues that mortgage introducers will face in applying for Direct Authorisation, including practical ‘hands on’ advice on understanding the FSA application form. ”
