He will report to Chris Dailey, operations director for commercial finance and George Ashworth, managing director of asset finance.
Baber was previously at General Electric Company for 24 years where he began at GE Aircraft Engines before moving to GE Consumer Finance and then GE Capital.
He said: “In today’s difficult economic climate it is important that small and medium-sized businesses have access to competitive asset finance facilities provided by lenders offering a fast and reliable service.
“My objective is to ensure that Aldermore delivers a world class service.”
George Ashworth, managing director of Asset Finance at Aldermore, said: “It’s great to have Jeremy onboard and I would like to welcome him to the team.
“He brings with him extensive experience gained from around the world and I have no doubt he will be able to put it to good use during the months ahead.”
