The challenger bank’s net lending to SMEs stood at £73m in the third quarter of 2014.
Phillip Monks, chief executive of Aldermore, said: “We are pleased to see that Aldermore is, once again, among the three lenders to have lent the most to SMEs during the third quarter of 2014.
“Aldermore is a bank that champions SMEs, we know how important small and medium-sized businesses are to the continuing economic recovery and are delighted to support them.
“It is imperative that banks focus on providing flexible finance for SMEs, as well as providing wider support in the form of customer service, above and beyond simply providing funding.
“We are committed to ensuring that strong, viable SMEs across the UK receive the funding they need to grow and succeed.”
