This arrangement will enable AToM to market the full product range offered by GMAC-RFC and issue mortgage offers and arrange completions from its Horsham office.
GMAC-RFC will site full-time underwriting staff in AToM’s office to ensure the swift turn round times demanded by intermediaries. Commenting on the move, Victor Jannels, group managing director of the AToM group of companies, said: “This is not what is commonly referred to as correspondent lending, but a more transparent and simplified structure to ensure that we are able to deliver to our introducers what they need - namely speed and efficiency.
“By having on-site underwriters and direct technology linkage to the GMAC-RFC head office, we will be able to avoid the delays that can sometimes be experienced in the normal mortgage process. We will be able to underwrite, offer and arrange completion from our Horsham office with the added benefits of having speed, control and communication all at our fingertips giving our introducers greater advantages for their clients.”
