Spinks previously held the position of director of corporate and commercial business development at NatWest.
Prior to joining the business finance market, he was a small business owner himself, managing a wholesale firm.
Spinks said: “I am excited to be joining Allica Bank at this early stage of [its] growth journey and am keen to start supporting small and medium businesses as soon as possible, given how tough the ongoing COVID crisis is making trading conditions.
“My own background owning and running a business has given me an insight into the customer experience and a profound understanding of what small and medium-sized enterprises require from their partner bank.
"I am pleased to have the opportunity to help small and medium-sized businesses achieve their ambitions through responsible lending, whilst continuing to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships.”
Mark Stephens, CEO of Allica Bank, added: “It’s great to welcome Stephen to the Allica Bank team.
"His background as a small business owner, combined with extensive experience in banking, means he is uniquely placed to provide the expertise and empathy that we pride ourselves on.
“Our aim is to build long-lasting and meaningful partnerships with brokers and customers across the UK.
"Stephen will be a vital part of our efforts to nurture these connections in London and the South.”
