Allica Bank has appointed Lawrence Holland as head of deposits.
Holland joins from Aldermore Bank, where he was head of propositions.
He has over 10 years’ experience in the financial industry and has also spent time at Nationwide Building Society.
Mark Stephens, chief executive of Allica Bank, said: “At Allica Bank, we want to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with our customers, and create an environment that gives small and medium sized businesses the tools they need to prosper.
“By working closely with small and medium sized businesses across the UK we are aiming to develop a full suite of banking products that add real value and solve real problems for businesses.
“Holland’s appointment is a big step towards the realisation of that goal, and his experience will be invaluable as we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Holland, added: “Joining Allica Bank represents a fantastic and rare opportunity to help craft a bank’s offering from the very start.
“The ambition to create meaningful, long-term relationships with customers really appealed to me, and I am excited to help deliver the product set that can underpin this vision.
“I believe that there’s a gap in the market to create saving products that will add real value to customers, who may not be getting the service they deserve elsewhere.
“My wife is a small business owner, and I have seen first-hand the challenges she has faced. It’s positive to see that Allica Bank is being proactive in this space and helping these businesses grow.”
