Stephen Schofield and John Penn will be responsible for offering regional support to mortgage packagers and panels in the north and south of England, respectively.
Schofield joins Amber with a decade of experience in the lending industry with Derbyshire and Nottingham building societies. Prior to his new role, Penn spent seven years as senior development manager for Norwich & Peterborough Building Society and 18 months as a sales manager for Household Mortgage Corporation.
Commenting on the new appointments, Mike Perry, head of sales and marketing at Amber, said: “Since rebranding in August 2001, Amber has managed to establish itself in the non-conforming and self-certification mortgage market. The company has had a very successful first full year and now has assets equivalent to the UK’s 20th largest building society. This growth has made it necessary for us to increase the service to the mortgage packagers and panels we deal with. Both Stephen and John are experienced in the lending market and will enable us to offer a valuable level of regional support.”
