They started fundraising in September last year with a target of raising £10,000.
Almost ten months on and fundraising is going extremely well, with the total amount raised for the charities standing in excess of £13,000 to date, including substantial sponsorship from Amber.
Sarah Brewer, Gail Lloyd, Laura Tudgey and Carla Weatherall make up the Amber team, each with a personal target of raising at least £2,500 for their chosen charities; Cancer Research UK, The Alzheimer's Society, Diabetes UK and Cystic Fibrosis Trust respectively.
The team have found that their fundraising challenge has been met with enthusiasm from Amber’s business partners who have been very supportive. Several fundraising events have also been held, including a very successful live music night and murder mystery night.
The team commented: “We have been delighted to experience the generosity of all the individuals and companies that we have come into contact with throughout our fundraising activities. As well as donating money, many kindly contributed their time, skills, products and services for the benefit of the charities we are supporting. We are very grateful for this support and proud of the huge amount of money we have managed to raise for the charities with their help.”
