Moore has a comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory structure facing mortgage intermediaries. She has held compliance roles in several financial services intermediary firms covering the full range of mortgage, insurance and investment markets.
This is the first time AMI has expanded beyond its original team and Vanessa’s appointment is a major boost to AMI and its work with member firms, regulators, policy-makers and industry stakeholders.
Chris Cummings, Director General of AMI, says: “The point is lost on nobody that regulation is a continuing journey, and having the right team alongside you is vital to success. At AMI we aim to be that team for every single member and Vanessa’s arrival is a major boost to this.
“Vanessa’s appointment is great for AMI and great for our members - all of whom will benefit from the skills, experience and enthusiasm she brings to this team.”
2005 has been a busy year for AMI and its members. The Association has held a record number of nationwide events for members, produced guidance on general insurance regulation, record keeping, trusts and inheritance planning, TCF, regulatory reporting and Home Information Packs, and engaged with policy makers on key consultations including the European Commission’s recent green paper on mortgages.
In addition to its part in setting up the FSA fee instalments scheme, AMI has kept members updated through monthly newsletters, newsflashes, and its member helpdesk.
Cummings adds: “The FSA has a busy agenda for 2006, which means AMI and its members will too. Other initiatives such as HIPs and home reversions regulation are gathering pace, and AMI will continue to keep members briefed on the changes ahead.”
