Formal part four notices, which give full authorisation of Principal status from the FSA, will only be issued four to six weeks before regulation.
Chris Cummings, director of AMI, commented: “The FSA is not publishing a list of the networks it has given provisional approval to — yet this is the very information intermediaries need. As AMI is an “honest broker” in the market, we can provide this information in a non-commercial way.”
He added that it was up to networks to tell AMI if they had received their notices and that the service was free of charge.
“We will also add to the listing when networks get formal authorisation - or if any are ultimately declined,” he added
