The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) welcomes this pledge of support from the lending industry and has promised to continue working with IMLA and lenders in general, to ensure a healthy mortgage market is in place to serve the best needs of consumers.
Robert Sinclair, AMI Director, said: "AMI welcomes the assurances from IMLA that lenders will maintain their support for the intermediary channel. This is something that our members have voiced great concern over. It is encouraging to see lenders giving their backing to intermediaries during times of economic turmoil. We will continue to work with IMLA to ensure that intermediaries merit this support."
