Harrison, who will be based in the lender’s Preston office, has been in the intermediary distribution market for 18 years with HBOS, Bank of Scotland and Merrill Lynch.
Yasin Patel, Amicus’s divisional director, said: “We are delighted to have somebody with his experience to help us drive our ambitious growth plans. Relationships are at the core of the Amicus proposition and Mark has those natural interpersonal skills that are essential in relationship management.
“This is another appointment in an ongoing strategy to recruit the quality people that are required to capitalise on the expansion potential of the short-term funding market.”
Harrison said: “It was not an easy decision to leave Just Bridging where I have enjoyed my time and I wish John and the team all the best for the future.
“The opportunity to join the 2015 Bridging Lender of the Year in this new role comes at an important time in their growth strategy and I am looking forward to contributing to the expansion plans they are preparing for 2016.
“I value the importance Amicus places on stakeholder engagement and look forward to supporting the growing number of brokers who are benefitting from this approach.”
