Amicus stakeholders, of which there were 26 at the event, debated growth, speed versus accuracy, proactive two-way communication, relationships, innovation & initiatives and technology.
Keith Aldridge, managing director at Amicus, said: “We have realised for some time that if we are to sustain the success we have achieved since our rebrand earlier this year, we would need to involve our key stakeholders more in the ongoing development of our expanding proposition.
“It is important that we choose stakeholder partners who have likeminded ambitions and with whom we can be honest and open about the way we do business together.”
Wayne Smethurst, director of TFC Homeloans, said: “In the 25 years TFC has been in the specialist origination business this is the first time I have seen a lender with a real desire to fully engage all the stakeholders as a single group.
“Inviting surveyors, solicitors and brokers to find ways to improve your proposition was a brave move but one that ultimately should result in better consumer outcomes and that can only be good for the industry as a whole.”
Amicus intends to have a repeat event every six month to ensure all stakeholders in the process keep giving each other feedback.
Russell Martin, managing director of Finance 4 Business, added: “The event was a resounding success. The Amicus team were thoroughly engaging and the candidness refreshing.
“The ever expanding team are clearly not resting on their laurels and have ambitions to maintain their steep growth curve.
“It is events such as this that will, I am sure, enable them to continue their success and improve their service proposition to boot. This was the first event of its kind and without question was well received by all involved.”
