Joe Pepper is taking over the role after Blackwell’s six year stint at the helm and his decision to leave the business.
In a memo to suppliers, seen by Mortgage Introducer, Blackwell says: “I believe xit2's new home will be good for both its staff and customers and I am sure you will continue your long standing relationships with the business.
“EDM Group is one of the UK's largest information and document management providers. They combine business expertise with innovative technology and robust outsourcing capabilities to help leading organisations improve their performance.
“EDM has long standing relationships with the UK financial services sector, and xit2 is a natural fit for them.”
Blackwell goes on to add: “I will do what I can to make sure over the coming weeks in this transition period Joe gets to meet or speak with you. I am of course available in the short term to take any questions you may have.”
Blackwell is rumoured to have already secured a new position in the mortgage, financial and property sector. He is a popular face in the mortgage industry having worked as intermediary sales director at Alliance & Leicester, head of corporate sales and specialist lending at C&G as well as stints at the Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Portman building societies.
His missive added: “I won't take up my new position away from xit2 until this process of customer contact is complete.
“In the meantime I would like to thank you for all your support over the last few and eventful years and I wish EDM every success with developing xit2 in future.”
Blackwell was unavailable for comment.
