Apple packages for a range of mortgage lenders including Preferred Mortgages, Stroud & Swindon Building Society and Rooftop Mortgages.
Keith Curtis, managing director at Zest Home Loans, said: “An increasing number of organisations are utilising an ‘Apple style’ brand and we felt that there was an air of confusion creeping into intermediaries’ minds over who is associated with who.
Notwithstanding this, lenders also struggle to make this distinction between the various companies. It is felt by rebranding to Zest Home Loans we can offer a fresh start to all concerned.”
He added: “However, this is much more than a rebranding exercise. There will be a range of bespoke products, most particularly a menu of discounted schemes from a well-respected high-street lender to be launched shortly, catering for specialist non-conforming cases, with other lenders providing mortgage facilities for not only non-standard construction properties but also for an Iberian range of products for Spain and Portugal.”
To work alongside current staff, Zest Home Loans is also due to announce the appointment of a new chairman. Curtis revealed this chairman is “an individual of high pedigree and standing within the industry”.
It is understood Zest Home Loans will now be seeking to strengthen existing relationships together with expanding its panel of key partners throughout the UK.
John Mawdsley, director of The Mortgage Partnership, said: “I always thought Apple was a good brand, as it got right to the core. This rebrand takes the pip.”
