The programme has been established specifically for those individuals who may never have endured the FSA senior management interview process to help ensure they are established as being fit and proper to undertake the role of an approved person within a fully authorised firm.
The specialist sale and rent back arm of Compliancy Services was recently launched to aid SARB firms, many of whom have never previously been regulated, deal with the often complex and time-consuming requirements of achieving and maintaining FSA authorisation.
Claire Wilkinson, retail director at Compliancy Services, commented: “It is important for firms to remember that the approved persons regime applies to full authorisation and senior management can expect to be interviewed by the FSA to establish that they are fit and competent to undertake the role of an approved person. This can be a somewhat daunting experience which is why we have developed this training programme which will also include a stringent mock interview process.
“Preparation is the key to any successful application. The FSA has warned firms to apply for the full authorisation as soon as possible and not leave it until a couple of months before the 30th June 2010 deadline. This statement further illustrates the pressing need for firms to start getting their houses in order sooner rather than later.”
