The service will initially be to assist intermediaries with their applications for direct authorisation with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) but will also include a full range of compliance support services for life under the new regulator.
The facility will be available to all APS Europe members regardless of the size of their firm or their individual requirements.
APS Europe director Ben Gardner says: “We intend to continue offering a full range of services to as many intermediaries as possible and the provision of compliance assistance and support certainly reinforces that objective.
“We firmly believe mortgage intermediaries should be fully independent to access and use any lender, insurer and mortgage club they need.
“As APS Europe is promoting direct authorisation it is only right that we help intermediaries achieve this and show them it is not such a scary route to take by providing the necessary support and services.”
