New manager will look after Wales, the Midlands, and the North West regions
GI protection specialist Assurant Intermediary has appointed David Carr (pictured) as business development manager covering Wales, Midlands, and the North West.
Carr, who has spent 18 years in sales development roles, said he is looking forward to taking Assurant’s proposition to intermediaries throughout his assigned regions.
“The GI market is set to see plenty of opportunity in 2022 in light of changed regulation, and as brokers recognise the necessity to broaden the services they offer to help retain existing customers within their client bank,” he said.
Carr will report to Assurant’s head of distribution, Carl Stacey, who believes his experience in the GI market will be extremely valuable in his new role.
“We are therefore very pleased to have him join us. His understanding of the broker market and ability to work with adviser firms to grow their GI business and income streams will be invaluable,” Stacey said.
