She brings over 20 years of experience in the intermediary market
Digital lender Atom bank has announced the appointment of Amy Donnelly (pictured) as its new business development manager (BDM) for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Donnelly brings over 20 years of experience in the intermediary mortgage market to her new role. Her career began at the Bank of Scotland, followed by a position as BDM for Halifax Intermediaries. Most recently, she has worked as a mortgage broker, gaining insights into the challenges faced by advisers and the support needed from lenders for their clients.
In her field-based position, Donnelly will focus on enhancing Atom bank’s existing relationships with brokers in her regions and expanding the bank’s network by introducing new brokers to its services. She will report to Alex Hart, regional business development manager at Atom bank.
“Amy is a great addition to our BDM team, bringing both significant experience and the insights from her recent work as an adviser,” Hart said.
“As a bank proud of its roots in the North East, we are keenly aware that some areas of the UK are overlooked and underserved by the big high street names. Atom bank is passionate about delivering for clients across the UK, and with Amy on board, we look forward to working with greater numbers of brokers in Scotland and Northern Ireland.”
Commenting on her appointment, Donnelly said she was delighted to be joining the team, and look forward to building relationships with brokers in her region.
“Atom bank has built a fantastic proposition around being quick and easy to deal with, while supporting borrowers who are underserved by the rest of the market,” she added. “I can’t wait to discuss how we can meet the needs of brokers’ clients in Scotland and Northern Ireland, areas where we really want to support.”
