Autumn lending 'fruitful' for BDS

Despite market turbulence, BDS has packaged £43 million worth of Mortgage Express applications; £42 million in offers and £32 million in completions for October 2007.

Phil Jay, BDS' managing director commented: “This is a fantastic achievement in the current financial climate. BDS’ relationship with Mortgage Express has developed greatly over the past 14 years and we were in a fortunate enough position to be one of the first to benefit from being provided with an on-site underwriter.

“These record levels reflect that maintaining a good relationship, even through troubled times, pays great dividends in the long run and such relationships should not solely built on the promises of large packaging fees.”

David Hunter, key account manager at Mortgage Express, added: “Our on-line system combined with an on-site underwriting service makes it easier and quicker for brokers to provide clients with a decision on the mortgage.

This milestone reflects the competitiveness and innovation of our products in each of our chosen markets and the ongoing strength of our relationship with BDS. We value this relationship we have had with BDS and look forward to continuing its development throughout 2008.”
