Baseline’s addition is the latest move in the strategic development of HML, which recently announced a separate Special Servicing division. Led by recognised industry experts, the new division will handle panel management, execution strategies and credit management for lender clients, and will now be further enhanced by bespoke analytics and modelling which will be provided via Baseline.
Commenting, Brian Brodie commented: “The commercial fit between Baseline’s services and HML’s activity is very strong. It makes complete sense for Baseline to become part of the overall HML capability, as we roll out solutions our existing customer base and new clients in other markets.”
Damian Riley has been appointed managing director of Baseline with immediate effect and will report to HML’s managing director Brian Brodie. Richard Coates will continue to work as a senior adviser to Damian Riley under this new operational structure to ensure a smooth transition. Existing clients of Baseline will be unaffected by the changes and will continue to be serviced on a business as usual basis.
