The quote process ensures add-ons are only applied to customer policies where suitable and is in addition to its recently updated online quote pack, providing brokers with IDD compliance support.
General insurance provider, Berkeley Alexander, has added a new range of add-on insurance covers to its online quote portal.
The quote process ensures add-ons are only applied to customer policies where suitable and is in addition to its recently updated online quote pack, providing brokers with IDD compliance support.
The new range of add-ons incorporate home emergency cover (covering up to £1,000 any one claim towards call out, labour, parts and materials against a range of domestic emergencies including plumbing, blockages, gas/electricity failure and central heating/boiler failure) and personal legal expenses, including ID theft protection, employment disputes, criminal prosecution defence, tax protection and a range of cover to defend or pursue civil or domestic disputes.
Mark Hutchings, managing director of Berkeley Alexander, said: “Add-ons offer valuable cover, but compliance requirements have put an increasing burden on brokers.
"Compliance is of course necessary, but it can’t and shouldn’t be allowed to discourage brokers from arranging suitable GI protection for their clients.
"In response to demand from our brokers, we’ve taken the stress and uncertainty out of the process.
"As well as an updated quote pack that builds in the add-ons and takes care of all the new IDD requirements, the online quote portal leads brokers through the main policy and add-on sales process step by step to help them deliver a compliant GI sale as simply as possible.
“We’re delighted with our comprehensive new range of add-on policies. As with everything we offer, it’s about giving choice and value for money, whist fulfilling a demand from brokers for a sales process that helps them achieve a compliant sale.”
