Best Overall Packager

Winner: The Mortgage Times Group

Second: Enterprise
Third: Exclusive Connection

The Mortgage Times Group has continued to build on its strong distribution channels throughout 2007.

The Group’s packaging division has originated £7.5 billion worth of packaged applications this year, which puts it as the largest mortgage packager in the country. The company’s Central London head office has 33 in house lender underwriters, giving it the edge over other packagers when it comes to service.

Mortgage Times has a panel of 23 lenders on its packaged panel, covering prime, buy-to-let, self-cert and adverse schemes. The Mortgage Times Group has also expanded its secured Loans and insurance divisions to become one of the most competitive propositions for mortgage intermediaries available in the market, and a true one-stop-shop for brokers to offer their clients market-leading products and services across the full range of mortgages and ancillary services. The Group also has over 1,300 Trigold users registered, through which it distributes over 1,000 exclusive products to its members.

Chris May, director of The Mortgage Times Group, commented: “We are thrilled and delighted to win such a prestigious award, and we’d like to thank our entire population of intermediary and lender partners who have helped make this such a successful year despite what have been turbulent market conditions of late.

"With our large distribution power we are able to offer our clients access to the best products and services available on the market, and it’s no surprise that the growth that we have seen in our award-winning network arm this year has also been mirrored in our packaging offering. We aim to be at the forefront of the intermediary market for many years to come, and with the significant investments we have made in our service offering, technology and with lender partners, this can continue.

"Once again I’d like to thank all of our members for their continued support in making us the best packager in the UK."
