With an increase in deals and the size of deals the firm manages, overall turnover has risen 16% meaning Blacks’ turnover is now £10.2m.
Profits are also up 14% at £1.66m for the financial year 2014/15.
The firm said this “significant business growth” was due to a combination of Blacks’ investment in its infrastructure and ongoing staff recruitment.
The latest member of staff among the fifteen new recruits to join Blacks’ ever-expanding employment law team is Iain Jenkins.
Previously head of department at Lee & Priestley, Jenkins has over 20 years’ experience acting for businesses and individuals on employment and HR issues including employment litigation, tribunals, contract and bonus disputes, and restrictive convenant injunctions.
Recognised in Chambers’ legal directory, Jenkins is also a CEDR qualified mediator and as part of his new role, he will be developing a mediation practice for the firm.
The strength of Blacks’ well-established and highly experienced employment team, which now totals nine staff, is reinforced further with this latest addition.
Chris Allen, managing partner at Blacks, said: “Our growing reputation means that more organisations are turning to us for advice. These year-end figures reflect the exceptional service provided by the staff here at Blacks.”
