Employees at the Manchester-based specialist lender hosted various fundraising activities at its offices in Charles Street and donations were also collected at The Trafford Centre with the mascot for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Humphrey.
Staff paid to dress down in green and different departments competed to raise the most money with other activities. They raised nearly £3,000 in a day with bake sales, chilli-eating contests and record-breaking attempts.
The fund raising day was part of an on-going initiative of Blemain Group’s Supporting the Community Committee, helping organisations across the North West. Its efforts have contributed to the Many Hands campaign, which brings together the business community to raise money and awareness for sick children at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Jenny Clarke, corporate and individual fund raising manager at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital charity, said: “Blemain Group has really got into the spirit of the Many Hands Campaign and we are extremely grateful for all their hard work in helping us to make a difference.”
