Teamed with its IT Index, the new independent survey of brokers provides insight into the specialist mortgage market.
The first report has already generated information on current attitudes, topical issues and events as viewed by brokers.
Findings from the report include:
* 78% of brokers stated the speed from application to offer as either the most important or second most important factor in helping to choose a lender
* Only one in three brokers are against FSA regulation of buy-to-let
* Nearly 70% of brokers believe that the FSA's principle of treating customers fairly has failed to be fully embraced by the specialist lending mortgage market.
Alan Cleary, head of sales, BM Solutions, said: "One Specialist provides valued insight into market opinion from brokers. By using this information we can closely monitor change in the sector and reveal the core issues in the market."
"The findings from the first report really highlight the key issues of the moment. The fact that nearly 70% of brokers believe the treating customers fairly principle has failed to be embraced by the market just goes to show how important it is that the industry works to change this." Cleary concluded.
