@nelliediamond used her twitter account to vent her frustration after her father was forced to resign as Barclays CEO yesterday morning.
She tweeted: “George Osborne and Ed Miliband you can go ahead and #HMD”
@nelliediamond sent the tweet yesterday afternoon, before deleting it once other users began to send it around the Twittersphere.
Readers can look up the crude meaning of #HMD – often used as a put down in the US.
Nell Diamond's Twitter feed suggests she enjoys living the high-life in New York but is close to her father. On the day of Chelsea's FA Cup final victory she posted a picture of Bob Diamond and John Terry holding the trophy.
And she also appears to have a sense of humour, retweeting a post from MSN columnist @Queen_UK: "Careful people. There's a wanted criminal on the loose in London. One understands his name is Bob Diamond."
And another by @robquimbly "Bob Diamond has been downgraded to Bob Diamante."
By the end of the day @nelliediamond had posted a defence of her father: "No one in the world I admire more than my dad. 16yrs building Barclays. Shame to see the mistakes of few tarnish the hard work of so many."
