The Red Herring awards recognise innovative start-ups from a pool of thousands from around the world. The awards provide an insight into emerging technologies that are driving the economy and highlight the exciting start-ups from the European, North American and Asian business sector.
The Top 100 Global winners were evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and disruption in their respective industries.
Paul Aitken, CEO of borro, said: “The Red Herring awards are among the biggest in the technology industry and to be recognised not only as one of the Top 100 in Europe but now the Top 100 on a global level is incredible.
"After going through a rigorous 3-step process which looked at all aspects of the company, we are thrilled to have fulfilled the strict criteria set. It re-iterates what we are achieving on a daily basis, through a great business model, continued growth and investment.”
Previously borro had only been selected for the Red Herring Top 100 Europe award. The Red Herring awards are widely considered one of the industry’s more prestigious recognitions, with stiff competition from up to 1,400 candidates from each continent entering each year.
