Brown will head up the team, which specialises in looking after high net worth clients, and be responsible for spearheading its continued growth going forward.
Brown is currently responsible for the Premier-linked underwriting team. His new appointment comes after a review of the business and the decision to bring the Premier and underwriting teams together under Brown’s leadership.
Peter Curran, head of distribution at Bank of Scotland Mortgages, said: “The BoS underwriting and Premier teams already worked closely together to combine the case management and underwriting skills required for brokers to provide their high net worth clients with great service, therefore it made sense for the two teams to come together.
“We believe that this move will be good news for brokers offering them a raft of new benefits. It will improve the speed of decision making and turnaround times and help to promote to brokers the benefits of using the Premier team for their high net worth clients.”
Craig Brown has worked for Bank of Scotland for over 17 years in a variety of roles including credit and quality manager and policy analyst.
Commenting on his appointment, Brown said: “I am looking forward to growing the team and continuing to offer brokers first class service. Our goal is to be the first choice for brokers when they are considering where to place their high net worth clients.
“The Premier team prides itself on proactively keeping brokers up to date with the progress of their case and will chase any outstanding items in order to get the case to offer. A team of experienced relationship managers are available to discuss any new business cases and assist with any queries on Bank of Scotland products.”
