Bridgewater is a market leader in the UK’s home reversion sector. Paradigm members will now have access to Bridgewater’s range of plans, which all abide by the Safe Home Income Plan (SHIP) Code:
• The Maximum Release plan: allows clients to release the maximum cash sum by selling 100% (99.9% in Scotland) of their interest in the property.
• The Flexible Release plan: allows clients to release as little as 25% or £25,000 whichever is the lower, of the property value with the guarantee of being able to release further cash sums as they are needed at any time, based on the client’s age and property value at that time. This plan appeals to those who want the security of knowing they have access to further releases in the future and/or those who want to protect a percentage of the property for their beneficiaries.
• The Secured Escalating Release plan: allows clients to release the amount required now with the certainty of guaranteed escalating payments over a given number of years, selected at the outset by the client. This plan is not available in Scotland.
The cash amount available for all plans is dependent on the client’s age, gender, percentage of the property they wish to sell and the current value of the property. Clients can sell anything from 25% to 100% of the interest in their property and have complete security of tenure to remain in their home for the rest of their life, rent free. All Bridgewater’s plans are also transferable if the client wishes to move to a suitable alternative property in the future.
