Bridgingloans.com has appointed a team of five business development managers (BDMs) to help educate any finance brokers, estate agents and IFAs on the benefits of bridging loans.
Bridgingloans.com’s new regional BDMs will provide its partners and customers with an extra level of personal service combined with localised first-hand knowledge of the area in which they are looking to invest – London and the South-East investors, for example, tend to concentrate on commercial ventures while customers in the South West focus on smaller town and village investment.
Bridgingloans.com has appointed four BDMs across England – Jonathan Bassey covers the North, Richard Fennell covers the South West, Karen Sharpe is based in the Midlands and Garry Sukhija works within London and South East areas. Mainland Scotland and Northern Ireland are covered by Mark Doyle.
The team of BDMs were brought on board to enhance awareness of bridging finance and hosted a nationwide educational programme to develop the understanding of the short-term finance sector. The BDMs will support Bridgingloans.com’s drive to make the bridging loan process more accessible for all applicants by offering face to face help and support.
Martyn Smith, managing director of Bridgingloans.com, was the driving force behind the decision to implement regional BDMs: “There is so much red tape surrounding the property and finance market that it can be extremely confusing for potential borrowers – whether they are individuals or companies.
"We are making life simple for customers and brokers by enabling them to deal with their own regional BDM, which means issues are explained first hand and can easily be resolved because the BDM has extensive knowledge of the area and is actively involved in assisting the broker from start to completion of the loan.”
Karen Sharpe, BDM for the Midlands, Bridgingloans.com, said: “Being based in a region I know well has enabled me to build relationships with local estate agents, brokers and IFAs. I am now able to increase the awareness of bridging loan benefits through a personable service that retains steady contact with all parties involved and I’m on-hand if a query arises. BDMs were implemented to reduce the confusion surrounding bridging loans and publicise the many challenges short-term finance can help overcome.”
Gary Sukhija, BDM for London and the South East, Bridgingloans.com, said: “Bridgingloans.com is committed to making life simple, and an important part of that for all the new BDMs is going to be advertising the wide range of uses and benefits for bridging loans. We will be conducting a series of workshops where IFAs and brokers can come along to and learn how they can provide better financial packages for their customers.”
Scotland and Northern Ireland are two particularly untapped areas which have very limited knowledge about bridging finance. BDM Mark Doyle was appointed to Scotland and N.I to take full advantage of their great development opportunities.
