The search facility allows borrowers to search the 6,000 advisers registered with Aldermore by postcode, giving contact details and the principal’s name.
Mark Stephens, Aldermore’s group managing director, mortgages division, said: “Like all good ideas, this one is really simple and was enthusiastically welcomed by brokers when we tested the concept.
“If mortgage brokers would like their details to be included in our broker locator, they simply need to register with Aldermore via our website.”
Mike Robinson, principal at Surrey-based Home Mortgage Advice, said: “Aldermore is to be congratulated for supporting brokers and I hope this will bring us both increased business.”
Charles Bunbury, broker at Tripletrust, added: “Having been in this industry since 1978 it was the first time I had seen this level of genuine support for the people in the front line coming from a lender.”
