Brokers offered free assistance on direct authorisation

The site has been set up to provide information to companies who may be considering Direct Authorisation with the FSA for Mortgage and General Insurance.

Spokesman for ADMA, Jason Rogerson of Tudor Mortgage & Finance, explains: ‘Brokers can access the website to obtain information, including practical guidance on the FSA application process. They are also able to register their interest in attending a free workshop. ADMA has been running workshops for its supporting brokers free of charge since early January and are now able to offer future workshops to any companies who have not yet decided which route to take.’

To date ADMA has hosted 52 separate workshops across the country including Manchester, Bristol, Southampton & London. They intend to run workshops through to the end of April, although they suspect demand will decrease after the FSA application fee discount period finishes at the end of March. Many lenders have offered ADMA support by allowing use of their offices for the workshops which has enabled ADMA to spend their budget on running additional workshops.

Rogerson says: ‘The workshops have been tremendously well received and are helping Companies make informed decisions by clarifying both the FSA’s current and future requirements. We do not charge for attending the workshops’.
