The lender said this level of immediate response clearly showed the additional borrowing tool is just the service brokers require and will soon come to expect as standard.
After spending time listening to broker feedback, BM Solutions, announced last week that it was the first industry lender to offer brokers the ability to make online applications for additional borrowing.
It is now widely accepted throughout the industry that tangible benefits come from using technology to support the mortgage application process. With brokers wanting to work online, lenders must ensure they offer technology which not only meets their own objectives but also addresses the areas where brokers feel it can be beneficial.
Commenting on the success of this functionality, Martin Reynolds, head of sales at BM Solutions, said: "At BM we listened to the fact that additional borrowing should be available online. We then went away and made this possible, launching it in to the market, with the knowledge that this is just the type of service the market wants.
"Of course for brokers to really benefit they need this level of service from more than one lender, and we therefore encourage others in the market to make this functionality available."
