With interest growing in the commercial sector, Kevin Cooke, sales director at Business Lending Ltd, said becoming a member of the NACFB was a logical choice for the lender. He said: “NACFB membership sets the standards for customer care within the commercial finance industry and we are delighted to become involved and look forward to progressing our business with its members and associates.”
Kevin Jones of Omega Commercial Solutions, a NACFB director and a regional packaging partner for Business Lending Ltd, added: “While commercial mortgages are not directly regulated, it is important that intermediaries and their clients have the assurance that they are dealing with NACFB accredited companies. NACFB members adhere to a strict code of conduct and measurable standards of proper professional practice. The commercial mortgage industry is growing fast and it is important that intermediaries have a quality benchmark in which they can put their trust.”
Andy Young, managing director at The Business Mortgage Company (TBMC), believed signing up to the NACFB would help the organisation attract more business. With the commercial sector currently outside of Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulatory control, he suggested the NACFB provided a level of quality. He said: “I strongly recommend that any IFA, mortgage intermediary or financial adviser looking to introduce commercial finance mortgage business should only introduce business to those brokers registered with NACFB.”
He added: “The commercial market is highly complex and financial advisers should therefore want reassurance that they are dealing with commercial finance brokers that have the right level of confidence.”
