Capon spent the majority of his time with Salt as head of residential sales, before moving to take up a strategic role working with MD Brian Carney.
Capon’s experience and knowledge of the market has been described as 'instrumental' in building up Salt's proposition in the sub-prime and self-cert sectors of the market.
He said: “The Salt brand has gone from strength to strength and it’s been fantastic to have played such a key role in its conception, launch and successful growth.
Carney added: “Tony has had a distinguished career with The Derbyshire spanning 14 years. Having previously headed up Derbyshire Intermediary Support for a number of years, his contribution to the success of Salt has been significant and we are all sorry to see him go”.
Last October, Salt announced the appointment of Alistair Welham as head of residential sales & marketing, adding the sales area to his existing marketing responsibilities.
Reporting to Alistair, as national sales manager, is Mike Taylor who has a long and respected career with the Derbyshire Group and expands his responsibilities of key account management to now include the residential sales team.
