Chapman joined Countrywide Surveying Services in December 2011 as head of field operations tasked with maximising the operational efficiency of the group’s surveying workforce and assisting with the development of new products and services for Countrywide's client base.
With over 15 years of experience in the property industry and an MA in business and management, Chapman previously held management posts at Colleys Surveyors within Lloyds Banking Group. As managing director, he will have sole responsibility for the division and he will report directly to Paul Creffield, corporate operations director at Countrywide.
Creffield said: “Over the past two years we have focused on the development of our proposition and our services and as a result, Countrywide Surveying Services has performed extremely well.
“As the business continues to grow at a significant pace, it is important that we continue to strengthen the management team and ensure the right people are in place to support that growth.
“Since joining, Paul has assisted the board in securing new client wins, expressing strong determination into the development and strengthening of Countrywide’s offering. I have been impressed by Paul’s commitment in driving the business forward and I am delighted to announce his appointment.”

Countrywide handles around 30% of all UK residential mortgage valuations and employs around 350 residential surveyors across the UK.
