CII Qualifications Director Lucy Courtenay said, “It is pleasing to see the numbers of people passing examinations despite the uncertainty caused by the Exam Review. This shows that the message from us and from the Financial Services Skills Council to continue to take the existing exams is getting through. The CII has pledged to make the Financial Planning Certificate available until at least mid-2005 so candidates can enter safe in the knowledge that they will have time to complete their studies.”
The number of candidates completing the exam requirement to be eligible to apply for a qualification is:
Financial Administration Foundation Certificate 264
Financial Planning Certificate 21
Advanced Financial Planning Certificate 49
In addition 10 candidates are now eligible to apply for Associate status with the CII’s financial services arm the Society of Financial Advisers and use the designation ASFA.
The CII recently received QCA (Qualifications & Curriculum Authority) accreditation for its Financial Administration Foundation Certificate (Certificate in Financial Administration) at Level 3. The CII already has QCA accreditation for its Financial Planning Certificate and Mortgage Advice Qualification (Certificate in Mortgage Advice).
