CMS, which was a member of the Professional Mortgage Packagers Alliance (PMPA) until the end of September, decided to join Freehold after a meeting between CMS sales & marketing director Simon Nicholson and Freehold spokesman Paul Brett.
Simon Nicholson, commenting on the move to Freehold, said: “I have been convinced for a long time of the need for packagers to work together which is why I joined PMPA originally. However, sometimes when you enter a relationship, it does not work as you had hoped. There was an amicable parting with PMPA, but, to me, Freehold has a model which works better and suits my company and the way we work.”
Paul Brett, spokesman for Freehold, said: “We are delighted to have CMS join Freehold. Clearly, Simon and his colleagues are firmly wedded to the concept of packagers deriving benefit from a joint approach and I am sure CMS will make a significant contribution to Freehold and its future development.”
