It has changed its insurance provider to ensure that it can provide wider coverage and more competitive cover.
If required, Commercial First’s agent will contact the client on behalf of the intermediary to arrange the cover and take care of the whole processing requirement. If intermediaries prefer to arrange the buildings cover themselves, this preference can be indicated on the Commercial First application form which is downloadable from the lender’s website www.commercialfirst.co.uk
Stephen Johnson, sales and marketing director of Commercial First said “Some intermediaries are happy to deal with buildings insurance for their clients, whereas very many prefer to concentrate on their core business of broking mortgages without getting involved in insurance business. We are delighted that we can now offer our intermediaries the option to use our own buildings insurance service, if they so wish.”
