Commercial First topped NACFB member poll as specialist lender of the year for the fourth year running, having first won the award in 2003, the year they entered the market.
Commercial First also won the award for commercial mortgage provider of the year for the second year running, in the face of stiff competition from the major banks and commercial lending institutions.
Stephen Johnson, sales and marketing director of Commercial First, commented: “We are delighted to retain these titles for another year, and it is especially satisfying to know that our service, transparency and innovative approach to commercial mortgage lending is so positively received in the professional commercial finance broker community.
“Earlier in the year we announced major product innovations designed to extend our appeal to a wider range of business borrowers, including splitting the product suite to provide a tailored solution specific to both owner-occupied commercial properties and investment properties, and this has proved highly popular with all sectors of the broker market. This followed significant recruitment in our field and office based teams to ensure we can maintain and further improve service to our intermediary partners.
“Commercial First firmly believes that our model of clear products and criteria, designed to replicate the service and speed of residential mortgage transactions, is the way that all commercial mortgage lending will tend to be transacted in the future. We are truly restless in our desire to further improve our proposition, and we have a number of really exciting developments to deliver in early 2007.”
