Following its entry into the UK lending market in 2003, Commercial First won that year’s NACFB awards both for most successful new entrant and for specialist lender of the year. In 2004 Commercial First repeated its success as specialist lender of the year and the company made it a hat trick by retaining the title for a third year running at the 2005 awards ceremony. Commercial First also won the prestigious award for commercial mortgage provider of the year, from a field that included all major banks and commercial lending institutions.
Stephen Johnson, Commercial First’s sales and marketing director, accepted the awards on behalf of the company. He said: “The NACFB awards are the most highly prized recognition of excellence in the commercial lending field, and everyone at Commercial First is extremely proud of our success record. We are particularly delighted to win commercial mortgage provider of the year, as an independent lender among all the other major commercial finance players. We believe it is a reflection of our partnership approach with brokers and our commitment to keeping business mortgages simple.”
The awards were made according to votes cast by around 1000 individuals within NACFB’s member companies, and readers of Niche Commercial Finance magazine.
